"Little wheels spin and spin. Big wheels turn around and around."
Buffy Sainte-Marie is a native American singer and songwriter. I heard this folk song a lot as a kid. She appeared in the Newport music festival in 1960 and now she is over 70 but still rocks. Her words: "Little wheels spin and spin. Big wheels turn around and around," have been spinning through my head. These words describe the very nature of the machine. As little wheels spin and spin the big wheels turn around and around. There is no way the big wheels can turn around and around if the little wheels do not spin and spin. Today there is a movement toward decentralization because the big wheels on wall street and on the internet have been turning around and around and given nothing back to the little wheels that spin and spin. Instead they have block new wheels from turning.
Decentralization allows for little wheels that spin and spin to be rewarded for the spin at the same rate the big wheels turn around and around. decentralization allows for any little wheel that is spinning to have it's own voice regardless of race or religion or social views. Steemit works like this. It is true at first you spin and spin but as you spin you are rewarded for your work and yeah, you do become a big wheel but some big wheels here spin and spin. They don't just sit back but they develop new technology and they promote the community as a whole. Every thing from communities in Africa providing technology to their villages from Stem dollars to developers providing ways for the general public to use and share Steemit faster and better. Buffy Sainte-Marie was right when she said, "little wheels spin and spin. Big wheels turn around and around." But today on Steemit there are some big wheels spinning and spinning. There are always new developments here. Some I'm looking into are steemvoter and busy. I think this programs will help me in blogging and curation. I am the little wheel that spins and spins but for once in my life I can get a fair chance to be rearded for my spinning. I'm thankful for the Steemit creators who allowed a platform like this to share ideas and be rewarded not just for our writing but for content and to reward others. Steem on!!
