To be in love with someone
who is a beautiful piece of art,
yet looks at the paint that
went out of the lines and tries to hide it.
Someone who lightens up
conversations with a smile
while dying from inside.
Someone who holds you
when you fall,
ignoring all the wounds they have.
Someone who teaches you how to face everything in life, and runs away from facing things themselves.
Someone who understands your mind,
and manages to find the
peace in that war zone.
Someone who will help you
pick up your broken pieces,
yet see their own fall apart in front of them.
It's not easy, is it?
To love yourself, for being who you are?
To love yourself,
for being the hand in the
dark for so many?
For once.
Remind yourself.
Look in that mirror,
where you practice smiling.
