A warm greeting to everyone in this wonderful #Music community. I'm delighted to perform "Shrek Medley" on my trumpet, a musical arrangement that begins with the fantasy opening theme "Fairytale" and ends with the epic theme from "Ride the Dragon." Both themes were composed by Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell for the soundtrack of the animated film Shrek (2001). Music in film has the power to convey emotions, concepts, and ideas. I love how the first theme is used in the opening scene of the story, and the second in the dragon scene, when Shrek and Donkey are in danger. If you've seen the film, I'm sure you'll remember how it made you feel when you first heard it. I play "Fairytale" in F major, and its melody moves in small medieval twists. "Ride the Dragon" is in the key of C major, and its melody is more dramatic, fragmented, and rhythmic.

Un cordial saludo para todos en esta bella comunidad de #Music. Tengo el agrado de interpretar con mi trompeta «Shrek Medley», un arreglo musical que comienza con el opening de fantasía “Fairytale” y finaliza con el tema épico de “Ride the Dragon”. Ambos temas compuestos por Harry Gregson‑Williams y John Powell para la banda sonora de la película animada Shrek (2001). La música en el cine tiene el poder de transmitir emociones, conceptos e ideas. Me encanta como el primero se usa para en la escena inicial del cuento, y el segundo en la escena del dragón, cuando Shrek y Burro están en peligro. Si han observado la película, estoy seguro de que recordaran lo que les hizo sentir al escucharla por primera vez. Fairytale la interpreto en F mayor, y su melodía se mueve en pequeños giros medievales. Ride the Dragon está en la tonalidad de C mayor y su melodía es mas dramática, fragmentada y rítmica.

As human beings, we love fantasy because it helps us escape reality. Sometimes we feel stressed and overwhelmed by routine. That's why we feel the need to rest our minds and connect with a world where anything is possible. Imagining things helps us nurture our creativity. Music is a powerful tool for the imagination. It helps us transport ourselves beyond the everyday. I remember that every time I went to university, I couldn't take off my headphones, and that helped me immerse myself in a world of emotions and fantasies. It was, without a doubt, an escape from routine. I loved listening to all kinds of musical genres, but especially songs that uplifted me and helped me reflect on important issues in my life. I also enjoy watching movies and series that connect me with my childhood and the happiest moments of my life. I hope you enjoy my performance.

Como seres humanos amamos la fantasía porque nos ayuda a escapar de la realidad. En ocasiones nos sentimos estresados, y ofuscados por la rutina. Es por eso por lo que nos vemos en la necesidad descansar la mente y conectar con un mundo donde todo es posible. Imaginarnos cosas nos ayuda alimentar nuestra creatividad. La música es un instrumento poderoso para la imaginación. Nos ayuda a transportarnos más allá de lo cotidiano. Recuerdo que cada vez que iba a la universidad, no podía dejar mis audífonos y eso me ayudaba a zambullirme en un mundo de emociones, y de fantasías. Era sin duda, un escape de la rutina. Me encantaba escuchar todo tipo de géneros musicales, pero sobre todo canciones que me edificaran y me ayudaran a reflexionar temas importantes en mi vida. Igualmente, me agrada ver películas y series que me conectan con mi niñez y con los momentos mas felices de mi vida. Espero de que disfruten de mi interpretación.
