Amprius Technologies has already started production of its breakthrough batteries based on silicon anode technology. The use of silicon instead of graphite allows to significantly increase the battery capacity and charging current.

According to the manufacturer, "Amprius Technologies' high-performance lithium-ion batteries are currently being used in premium and mission critical applications and will soon expand to EV and consumer applications as our manufacturing capacity grows."
The company is planning a gigantic (775,000 square foot) factory in Brighton, Colorado. Production will start in 2025.
