Inasmuch as we've got the grace of God at work in us, many Christians still fail in life, not because God doesn't want them to succeed but because they fail to adhere to the basics principle of success.
Praying to God for success without making adequate plans is foolishness. Make plans and act on it. By planning to succeed, you have to spend/invest more money into the business.
Do not depend on your salary only. Work for your boss during working hours and work for yourself after working hours.
Do not indulge in fighting for patronage, rather, improve on yourself and your business and the patronage will come. Competition is healthy to better oneself but don't compare yourself with your competition. Put in your best, improve yourself and success will come. Focus on developing your business and the completion will go. Those that focus on destroying others will have no time to grow.
Image is everything in business.
Are you and your employees accommodating, courteous and have self-value?
Observe good business ethics.
Take sample of customers desires and add to your menu/variety.
Every successful man works hard. You can't be a successful man by accident. Besides hard work alone can't get you there, smart work is also required. You need to think outside the box. Think of how to create value, only then will you be valued.
Set targets for yourself.
Count the hours and use them well. When you waste the hours, you waste your life.
Make the best of every opportunity.
Never take any of your customers for granted.
You should be very quick to say, "I'm sorry". One customer offended can tell many more than a satisfied customer.
Celebrate your customers. Give them gifts. It's only givers that receive.
For the students, undergraduates, Corp members, be industrious. Have the mindset of an entrepreneur. Train yourself to be productive. Attend workshops and seminars. Volunteer your services so as to gain experience.
Stop wasting your time. There's no spare time.
