Here I tell you that a little while ago I was talking with my friend Daniela, she is born in Buenos Aires, but for several years she has lived with her parents in Gualeguaychú, where we had very nice experiences together!

Hola comunidad!! ¿Cómo están? ¿Cómo van llevando este sábado? Espero que muy bien! Por aquí les cuento que hace un ratito estuve hablando con mi amiga Daniela, ella es nacida en Buenos Aires, pero desde hace varios años que vive con sus padres en Gualeguaychú, donde vivimos experiencias muy lindas juntas!

Dani, as I say, is a person with an incredible light, she is always smiling and in a good mood, she has a very funny way of being, and that must be why many people approach her and want to be her friends, but My friend is very selective, she does not get carried away by gossip, but always listens to her intuition, and I love that about her, her spontaneity and transparency.

Dani, como le digo yo, es una persona con una luz increíble, ella siempre está sonriente y de buen humor, tiene una forma muy divertida de ser, y debe ser por eso que muchas personas se le acercan y quieren ser sus amigos, pero mi amiga es muy selectiva, no se deja llevar por habladurías, sino que le hace caso siempre a su intuición, y eso me encanta de ella, su espontaneidad y transparencia.

A couple of years ago, when I was visiting Guale I was at Dani's house, that night was very good, we had fun like never before, we ate some ham and cheese empanadas, typical in Argentina to order empanadas or pizzas and some very good beers. Very rich, some rich buds that I brought from Uru and a lot of talk, laughter, laughter even with tears, I can assure you !! We have fun with very little!

Hace un par de años atrás, cuando anduve de visita por Guale estuve por casa de Dani, esa noche estuvo muy buena, nos divertimos como nunca, nos comimos unas empanadas de jamón y queso, típico en Argentina pedir empanadas o pizzas y unas birras muy muy ricas, unos ricos cogollos que llevé de Uru y mucha mucha charla, risas, carcajadas hasta con lágrimas, lo puedo asegurar!! Nosotras nos divertimos con muy poco!!

That night she told me that she admired me for grabbing my backpack and going where I want, that "freedom" that I have, that everyone longs for, being able to go out on the road and hitchhike without being afraid, among other things that she told me very beautiful and I love her because she is always that cute; So I told him, and why don't you come to Uruguay with me for a few days? At that time I was working taking care of an older man Jorge, that when I asked him if I could take her home for a couple of days, he did not hesitate to tell me that YES; So when I told him, Dani told me that he was going to think about it, and that he had to see how to fix those days at work and he told me before that weekend that I was returning to Uruguay to fulfill my duties!!

Esa noche ella me decía que me admiraba por agarrar mi mochila e irme donde quiero, esa "libertad" que tengo, que todo el mundo anhela, el poder salir a la ruta y hacer dedo sin tener miedo, entre otras cosas que me dijo muy hermosas y la amo porque ella es así de linda siempre; entonces le dije, y porqué no te venís unos días a Uruguay conmigo a dedo?, yo en ese entonces trabajaba cuidando a un señor mayor Jorge, que cuando le pregunté si podría llevarla a su casa un par de días, no dudó en decirme que SI; asique cuando le conté, Dani me dijo que lo iba a pensar, y que tenía que ver cómo arreglar esos días en su trabajo y me avisaba antes de ese fin de semana que yo regresaba a Uruguay a cumplir con mis deberes!!.

We were on the phone for a while chatting, and I told him that the weather here in Uruguay can vary so much, that it is best to bring a change of clothes from each season, just in case, because here you can wake up with fog, at noon have a sun beautiful, in the afternoon an intense rain and then the rainbow and at night a cold from freezing, it is unpredictable that is why I always go out with a coat in my backpack, I prefer to carry a little and not die of cold!

Al otro día a las 9 de la mañana ya me estaba llamando y preguntando qué ropa debía llevar, cuánto dinero sacaba de sus ahorros, y demás cosas que las mujeres siempre estamos atentas, como el secador de pelo, el abrigo, los zapatos, etc. Estuvimos un rato en el teléfono charlando, y le contaba que el clima acá en Uruguay puede variar tanto, que lo mejor es traerse una muda de ropa de cada estación, por si acaso, porque acá puedes despertar con niebla, al mediodía tener un sol hermoso, a la tarde una lluvia intensa y luego el arcoíris y de noche un frío de congelarse, es impredecible por eso yo siempre que salgo ando con abrigo en la mochila, prefiero cargar un poco y no morir de frío!!

The day so long awaited for her arrived, her first hitchhiking trip, as you can see in the photo we made a poster so that the drivers who passed could read it and if they go that way they can take us if their will so decides. Thanks to a man who had that good gesture, she picked us up in Gualeguaychú and took us to the Montevideo terminal where we took a bus to reach this beautiful resort on the Gold Coast, Salinas, Canelones.

Llegó el día tan esperado por ella, su primer viaje a dedo, como ven en la foto hicimos un cartel para que los conductores que pasaran lo leyeran y si van para ese lado nos pueda llevar si su voluntad así lo decide. Gracias a un señor que tuvo ese buen gesto, nos levantó en Gualeguaychú y nos llevó hasta la terminal de Montevideo donde nos tomamos un bus hasta llegar a este hermoso balneario de la Costa de Oro, Salinas, Canelones.

The next day Jorge offered to take us for a ride in his car through the small town of Salinas, and we took advantage of the fact that that day was Sunday and as always, there was a fair. Al otro día Jorge se ofreció a llevarnos de paseo en su auto por la pequeña ciudad de Salinas, y aprovechamos que ese día era domingo y como siempre, había feria. La emoción de Dani de poder conocer la FERIA de la que siempre le hablaba, que se hace en Pinamar, el balneario aledaño. Desde muy temprano los feriantes arman sus puestos para vender todo tipo de cosas. En otro post les voy a mostrar un poco más de cómo son algunas ferias de Uruguay, algo que no podes perderte si vienes al paisito.

After walking around the fair, walking, eating, looking at everything and buying of course; We went for a while to enjoy the beach, and the sun that was beautiful and we took the opportunity to take a couple of photos, it was a very fun afternoon with my friend, the truth is that I miss her and I would love for her to come and see my little place some day, hopefully not so far away!!

Bueno y como todo Uruguayo, no puede faltar el mate y las tortas fritas, la combinación perfecta para cualquier paseo y disfrute. Luego de andar por la feria paseando, comiendo, mirando todo y comprando claro; fuimos un rato a disfrutar de la playa, y del solcito que estaba hermoso y aprovechamos a sacarnos un par de fotos, fue una tarde muy divertida con mi amiga, la verdad es que la extraño y me encantaría que pueda venir a conocer mi lugarcito algún día, ojalá no tan lejano!!

One of those nights, Rodri, a friend from back, invited us to smoke one and have a beer at the Obelisk on Avenida Julieta and the beach, an icon of Salinas, where many people go to disperse generally on weekends like us in that moment. A night of anecdote after anecdote, of lots of laughs and good vibes. Thank you friends for such beautiful moments!!

Una de esas noches, Rodri un amigo de la vuelta, nos invitó a fumar uno y a tomar una cerveza en el Obelisco de Avenida Julieta y la playa, un ícono de Salinas, donde va mucha gente a dispersarse generalmente los fines de semana como nosotros en ese momento. Una noche de anécdota tras anécdota, de muchas risas y buenas vibras. Gracias amigos por tan hermosos momentos!!

I have not seen Dani my dear friend for more than two years, I hope that all this that blocks our meeting will end soon and that we can be free to choose where to travel, without depending on vaccines, isopads and health passports. Hace más de dos años que no veo a Dani mi amiga querida, deseo que todo esto que bloquea nuestro encuentro se termine pronto y podamos ser libres de elegir donde viajar, sin depender de vacunas, isopados y pasaportes sanitarios. Ojalá pueda pasar el charco y reencontrarme con mi familia y amigos que hace mucho no puedo ver y que extraño con todo mi ser!! Gracias una vez más a todos aquellos que hacen mi vida hermosa por más que estén a pocos o muchos kilómetros, el amor se siente, la energía también!!
