Today I'm going to take you on a slightly different kind of trip, a visit to the Lamborghini Museum, one of the world's top supercar manufacturers. My family and I were travelling around northern Italy, close to Bologna. We had already agreed at home that we would visit this museum if time allowed us. I'm not crazy about cars, but I do look at them with admiration, and even more so if they are high-sports cars.

Car museums are not always just about cars, but very often also about important people who have made a huge contribution to the development of the car and the motorcycle. The diversity of collections knows no boundaries. They can be dedicated to a specific period or brand, to cars only, or to important inventions and innovations only. The Lamborghini Museum presents all the important milestones in Lamborghini's history.

The Lamborghini Museum is located in Sant'Agata Bolognese, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It is just over 30 kilometres from the culinary capital of the world, Bologna. The official name of the Lamborghini Museum is MUDETEC, which stands for Museum of Technologies.

It is an automotive museum that takes you on a wonderful journey through the history of Lamborghini car manufacturing, from prototypes to limited editions, right up to today's production. The museum opened its doors in 2001 and was renovated in 2016. Lamborghini's slogan is 'Future is our legacy'. Lamborghini is also called Casa del Toro. Its logo is a bull's head, which is Mr Ferruccio Lamborghini's zodiac sign.

And how did it all begin? The founder of Lamborghini is Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini. After WW2, he started building Lamborghini tractors in his garage ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿšœ. As his business was doing very well, he soon opened his own factory and soon became one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural equipment in Italy. He soon became one of the richest men in Italy.

Being rich and a passionate car lover, his collection soon included cars such as Jaguar, Maserati and also Ferraris. Nice! The Ferrari's clutch was giving him trouble, so he took it in for servicing to Ferrari several times. As these problems recurred, he had his mechanics inspect the car.

His mechanics found that the problem was caused by a part of the clutch that is also used in Lamborghini tractors, only their part is much, much cheaper! This made Mr Lamborghini very angry, and he wanted to speak to the owner of the Ferrari, Mr. Enzo Ferrari, in person. Mr. Ferrari replied that the problem was not with the car, but with the driver. He told him to leave him alone and to go back to his tractors.

This angered Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini so much that he built his own sports car, which could reach speeds of 240 km/h. Out of an insult, a new star was born โญ!

The museum is set over two floors. The lower floor showcases older iconic car models, while the upper floor houses newer, more modern cars that incorporate the latest technology and the most advanced materials.

Let's see what the museum has to offer,...

Miura roadster by Lamborghini & Bertone

The car is a prototype, made in 1968. It is one and only. Estimated at $ 4 million. I was even afraid to take some photographs of it ๐Ÿ˜…

Miura SV

Produced in 1979 in a total of 150 cars. It reaches 290 km/h, takes just 4.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

LM002

It's also known as Rambo Lambo ๐Ÿ˜€It is the first SUV ever built, manufactured in 1986. It wasn't bad to have this car in 1986, what do you think?

Diablo GT

Built in 1999, it's the first car with carbon fiber elements. Only 83 units were made. The car reaches a top speed of 338 km/h, accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds ๐Ÿ˜ฏPricing is around half a million of $.

Veneno

Only 4 cars of Coupe variant were made! Maybe you're one of the lucky owners of this dream car?

Aventador Roadster

Sales started in 2011, with over 5000 units sold. It can reach speeds of 350 km/h,....I'll have to see what the delivery times are ๐Ÿคฃ

Countach 5000

The old version of Lamborghini Countach 5000,...

Countach

And the new version of Lamborghini Countach. Which edition do you prefer?

Asterion

And here it is, Lamborghini Asterion, the hybrid car prodused since 2019, powered by petrol as well as electricity. I love green ๐Ÿ’š

Race car Lamborghini GTD ๐ŸŽ๏ธ

What to say, the race car for GT Daytona, any further word would be unnecessary!

And others top supercars,....!

I took a few more photos of the other supercar models, but I was too excited to remember all their names and specifications,....๐Ÿ˜

If you're on a budget and can't take one of these toys home, you can take a ride on a driver simulator ๐Ÿ˜‰
