I can still recollect the day of 1st April 2018 when I finally joined Hive Blockchain(formerly S**m * t Blockchain). I was full of an enthusiast and amateur hustler at that point in time.
That was my first year of graduation and to sustain my living I was already in a part-time job earning 4000 INR a month by spending at least 4-5 hours a day. It was taxing on me for sure. I was keenly looking for an alternative that would be flexible and time-efficient. Most importantly I was looking for a part-time hustling job where I could invest my evening or night time.
Vikash who was a senior in my college, was also active during those days(no more active these days) and introduced me to Hive Blockchain. He told me that this is something that would be ideal for you and you could make more than 5000 INR a month and that too at your flexibility.
I never heard of Blockchain or crypto at that time. Even though I joined I joined this platform with skepticism. That is why knowledge comes to your rescue to give clarity.
Then I started engaging in this Blockchain and my early days in Hive Blockchain were super successful; I made a handsome amount in the year 2020, and that covered almost my 1.5 years of expenses including college fees. However, I did not save the coins that I earned because I joined this platform as a part-time job and I badly needed some rolling income to sustain my living.
So basically I have had on/off tenure in my engagement with Hive Blockchain for the want of time and for my primary duty to complete my graduation. But I must say that Hive Blockchain and my earnings from it helped me to a great extent to complete my graduation successfully. While I say so please take note of the fact that I belong to a lower middle class family and even 50k INR is a very very big amount for me and my family.
Fast forward to 2023/2024, again when I started preparing for competitive examination I started replying upon Hive Blockchain because I needed some rolling income for my living and until I get a mainstream job I won't be able to save or stake, that's the bitter truth. But in the entire journey I have learned a lot, how to write, and how to improve my English speaking and writing skills, I also came across a lot of learned gentlemen. And those are the intangible benefits of engaging here.
I would continue to engage. I firmly believe that Web 3.0 is the future. AI will open up a new frontier, in that context AI can easily marry with Blockchain. If data is gold, then Blockchain would be the most transparent means of a data mine.
