I really enjoy working with cedar. Most of my work these days maintains the live edge as much as possible. This piece is a headboard that I finished with clear lacquer. The bright colors are maintained very well. Notice the live edge and the top right corner. Zoom in on that top right corner. Does it look like the right side is a mirror of the top? It should because those two pieces are sequential slices of the same log. That is called book matching. I include an article explaining it in detail if you're interested.
