It doesn't matter if you're musician or "just" a listener. If you're okay, with the quality, that a sound - file is providing then streaming the music, you want to hear, is very comfortable.
There is a reason, why so many musicians are complaining about, not to get enough money, out of it.
It's about, that flatline - charge. As a consumer, it's very nice, to get access to 40 or 50 million tracks. And you only have to pay your 10 bucks, every month.
If the payout, for a participating musician, would be fair, this can be a great way to consume your favourite sounds, explore new music or reach a new audience.
But, it is like someone has decided that there is no appreciation, anymore, for the worth of a composed piece of music.
It's one, of the hardest business - models, if you have to reach a few hundredthousand or even a lot more plays, to get a payout of roundabout one thousand dollar.
Surely, someone is making money, out of these streaming - services.
But, take a look at the movie - business. Is there a streaming - service, which is providing, all the blockbuster - movies and other latest productions, for a monthly rate? Okay, on Netflix you get all their own stuff for a little fee (plus a few movies from other production - companies).
I think, the big studios, do know why they don't give their output away, for free.
It's up, to the persons which are producing (and loving) the music, to raise it's worth to an acceptable basis.
