Why Netflix bought Lionheart?

I know Lionheart is no longer a new movie with the hype and anxiousness that came with it particularly in January this year when it was purchased by the amazing and very reputable "Netflix".
My thoughts about this movie and it's feature by Netflix boils down to the amazing and awesomeness that comes with accomplishing a feat and going global.
No African movie has ever been purchased by Netflix except " Lionheart" by the Nigerian Igbo damsel Genevieve Nnaji.

Now...what made Netflix purchased the movie?
How comes Genevieve made so much money in just a year from one movie?
Amidst so many other mind boggling questions and thoughts on how Genevieve penetrated the global movie channel and made so much bucks and more fame, why not reflect more or perhaps see the movie again.

Here is why I think the movie was worth the buy....
Ordinarily, this is just a normal Nigeria cum African movie but abnormally, Genevieve portrayed the movie beyond the regular nollywood style of featuring movies and cast's roles.

The movie 'Lionheart' (Obiagu in Igbo dialect) shows the zeal to revamp the glory of a crumbling transport business owned by Chief Obiagu.
Unlike normal Nollywood movies where Uncles are mostly wicked with evil intentions to hurt their Brothers, Nieces, Nephews or In-laws. The story is very different here.
Miss. Obiagu (Genevieve) was left with the responsibility of resurrecting her Father's dying Transport Company named 'Lionheart'. Her Father Chief Obiagu (Pete Edochie) invited his younger Brother (Nkem Owoh) to help her achieve success and evidently her mission was achieved through the help of her Uncle.
duo companies formed a bond and which prevented their rival another transport Company from purchasing a major shares.

I learnt quite a lot of lessons from my view of how this movie got featured by Netflix.
Here are my thoughts...

• To achieve results, think different. Yes! Sometimes you have to be odd to be number 1. The number 1 itself is even an odd number.
• Do things different but be positive
• Set high goals if you don't hit your target, change tactics
• Unity in diversity. Network with people of diverse regions, tribes and religions
• Trust isn't a function of race. Sometimes, people of other race might be more trustworthy than family folks.
• You can't achieve success all alone. Do you know that the big contract you clicked is by virtue of some network you must have created sometime. Perhaps, you were recommended by someone.
• African families should give Women a chance. Let your girl child inherit some of your properties too and watch how some female child might just be the breadwinner that makes family wealth sustainable.
  Give girls a chance! I am sure @girlsfoundation will be excited about this last bulletpoint.
