As you may have or have not noticed, I really love weed 😍🍁. Guess I'm more of a typical Jamaican than I used to think. This strain is some my friend gave me. I'm not sire what is is but it has some skunk qualities. Most of the weed available in my area is like this, a mixture of Purple Skunk, White Ice and Pineapple kush.
Marijuana is mostly grown by small farmers in the country areas where the soil is rich and the air is cool. The plant mirrors these atmospheric qualities and usually grows to high quality. It is then sold in a variety of ways, to be used as how the buyer pleases. Mark you, this process is still very much "ILLEGAL"as only smoking and possession under 2 ounces is decriminalized. However ganja is engrained in Jamaican culture and economics so unless you are busted with a fairly large amount you won't really be in any trouble.
Many people hear see weed smokers as unproductive, lazy and violent, deleting the adverse social situations that we live under as factors to the behaviour of our youth. Especially young males. In my observation, ganja is the only escape many of us have from the stress of everyday life.
I think if more Jamaicans took time out to study the plant we could really use it to inbounded potentials much more than the joys of smoking. This plant can make medicine, hygienic products and even craft and clothing. It is truly a blessing.
