I’m one of those guys who really enjoys fishing but almost never has the time for it. And when I do manage to go, I’m always very happy! I don’t think it’s even about the fishing itself, thankfully, but rather about being in contact with nature, having good conversations, and enjoying some peaceful time without noise or worries. I think many people who enjoy fishing feel the same way, that fishing is not just about catching fish, but about the whole experience surrounding it.
Well, I recently went fishing and brought my drone with me. I shared a little about part of that day in this post A church or a castle?, where I spotted a church I had been very curious to see up close. Anyway, a great friend and I went there that day and we didn’t catch a single fish, only a few ticks haha. But you know what? It was really nice. We sat there talking about all sorts of things and, the next day, I was feeling really good. I truly believe that being in contact with nature helps renew our energy.
Later that same day, we spotted a turtle, or was it a terrapin or a tortoise? I honestly can’t say. All I know is that it was digging a hole and I imagine it was preparing to lay some eggs. A couple of cyclists passed by us and even asked about the animal. We stayed there for a little while longer trying to figure out what it was doing, but in the end, we came to the conclusion that it was indeed digging the hole to lay its eggs. Well, that fishing trip didn’t bring us any fish. Hopefully, the next one will, but at least it gave us a really nice day out!

Eu sou daqueles caras que gostam muito de pescar, mas que quase nunca têm tempo. E, quando conseguem, ficam muito felizes! Acho que nem é tanto pela pescaria em si, ainda bem, mas pelo contato com a natureza, pelas conversas e por um tempo de paz, sem barulho e sem preocupações. Acho que muitas pessoas que gostam de pescar têm essa mesma sensação de que a pescaria não é apenas sobre pegar peixes, mas sobre todo o contexto envolvido.
Bem, recentemente fui pescar e, na ocasião, levei meu drone. Contei um pouco sobre parte desse dia aqui neste post A church or a castle?, onde avistei uma igreja que tinha muita curiosidade de conhecer. Pois bem, fui eu e um grande amigo nesse dia e não pegamos sequer um peixe, apenas alguns carrapatos haha. Mas, quer saber? Foi bem legal. Ficamos ali conversando sobre várias coisas e, no outro dia, eu estava me sentindo muito bem. Acredito mesmo que esse contato com a natureza revigora nossas energias.
Ainda naquele dia, avistamos uma tartaruga, ou seria um cágado ou um jabuti? Não sei dizer. Só sei que ela estava por ali fazendo um buraco e imagino que fosse para colocar alguns ovos. Um casal de ciclistas passou por nós e até perguntou sobre o animal. Ficamos ali por mais algum tempo tentando entender o que ela estava fazendo, mas, no fim, chegamos à conclusão de que realmente estava cavando para colocar os ovos. E bem, essa pescaria não rendeu peixes, espero que na próxima renda, mas pelo menos proporcionou um passeio bem legal!
