Hi all...
Yesterday my family and I went to the city of Jogja. My lil sister, who is still in school, invite to the Affandi museum for her school needs.
so our family went to the Affandi museum. the journey from home to the location is about 1 hour. quite far because my house is in the village.
Affandi Museum is a gallery museum of Affandi's works in the form of paintings made during his life. he is now dead, but his work can be remembered and immortalized in the museum. he made a lot of paintings. and various paintings. His paintings consist of watercolor, pastel, and oil paintings on canvas. Reproduction of two self-portraits by Affandi, as well as a reproduction of a portrait of Affandi and his daughter, Kartika. there is also in the museum there is a mitsubishi Gallant car from 1970.
the car is a favorite car during his life that has been modified in the form of a fish on display. oh there are also bicycles and a number of awards from domestic and foreign governments.
Affandi museum is located in the city of Yogyakarta, precisely on the west bank of the Gajahwong river.
oh... this museum consists of a museum building and its accessories as well as a residential building for painter Affandi and his family. the building of this museum complex was carried out in stages and was designed by Affandi himself. in 1962 Affandi finished building gallery I as an exhibition space for a number of his works of art. The first gallery building was then inaugurated by the Director General of Culture, Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra in 1974. In 1987 Indonesian President Suharto provided assistance in the form of a gallery II building. Gallery II building was then inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture Prof. Dr. Fuad Hassan in 1988. The third gallery was established in 1997 and inaugurated by Sri Sultan HB X in 2000. Sri Sultan is the Sultan of Yogyakarta who lives in the Kraton Yogjakarta.
There are also other complementary buildings in the Affandi museum, including a place that is planned as a space for painting conservation, guesthouses, and so on. wow cool ... extraordinary artistic soul :) I myself am amazed by the art of painting that is designed as neat and as good as this. His cleverness in art is able to make him always remembered in history.
Affandi died in 1990 and before he died, he chose to be buried between the two buildings of Gallery I and Gallery II which were next to his wife Maryati, who were also surrounded by his paintings.
As for the Affandi museum facilities, namely:

especially for those who like art must come here. because I think Affandi's work is good and very thorough in making art. The colors used are also diverse so that it makes the beauty of an art. I was amazed by his work. The ticket price here is 50 thousand rupiah per person.
