I’ve mentioned before that I edit for other people.
Not only are my books on Amazon.com, but so are a lot of others that I’ve had a little bit of involvement with.
Glenn Scrimshaw is a good friend and a cracking Author. He writes Sci-Fi and Fantasy – Space and Vampires. Actually, he writes more than that, he’s also brilliant at writing gritty and poignant articles on mental health and also the day-to-day running of his household.

Gilded Wagons is a novel set in Nottinghamshire. Eve Wharmby spent a great deal of time researching her subject matter. She visited the Romany sites and the Appleby Fair where thousands of horses and their owners meet each year to catch up with friends and family and buy and sell horses. Eve went to a lot of trouble to make sure her novel was as accurate as possible. Down to how a Romany caravan is manufactured, lived in and then, at the end, disposed of. It’s a fascinating story and you can tell how much love has gone into the telling of it.
Eve’s second book, Brides For Clemmants is an old-fashioned ghost story, set in Yorkshire. The story starts in Nottinghamshire, where Eve has lived for a good deal of her life and again, a lot of historical research has gone into the story.
Eve is now in her late seventies and she doesn’t think she’ll be able to write any more books, so she sold up her house, put the money in a bank and set off to find adventure!
When we last saw her, the night before she was due to be out of her home, she wasn’t sure whether she would go to Scotland, Wales and I believe Cornwall was mentioned.
She was going to put all her belongings into storage and go to the bus station and catch the first long-haul bus that came along, taking her to who knows where.
What a brave and inspirational lady!
Another inspirational lady is Sophie Sparham. We met Sophie on the recommendation of a friend and Sophie asked us to edit and publish her book Snow In Hell
Sophie is severely dyslexic and explained that before I got started on her book. Dyslexic she may be, but she tells a wonderful story of Angels, Devils and everything in between. Since writing the book, Sophie has done wonderful work in charity organisations and has been a radio DJ in Brixton Prison. The mind boggles.
Sophie has also gone on to find herself a bigger publisher and an Agent and we’ve remained good friends and wish Sophie all the very best in her endeavours!
Jason Green has a deeply disturbing book in Memoirs of Insanity A fictional account of childhood tragedy, betrayal, abuse and finally a visit to an asylum.
Joan Vardy took a number of years to get A Green Hill Far Away published. She was recommended to come to us by the local library where 
Joan’s book was unusual in the fact that she is totally blind – can see only shades of light and dark. She gave us her book on 17 cassette tapes and we had to send it away to be transcribed. I then ‘edited’ it because the transcriber doesn’t speak ‘Nottinghamshire’ and a few of the words were what she assumed Joan meant.
That was an interesting task, I must say.
The book is made up of around 150 short excerpts of memories from when Joan was born, through the post-war years, growing up as a blind child, onto her adventure (alone) to the boarding school where she had to go when the local schools decided they couldn’t help with her schooling.
Some of the stories are belly-laugh funny and some are heart-stoppingly thrilling. Joan has sold books all over the world and deservedly so. It’s one of the best true stories I’ve ever read.
Then we have this guy. I’m trying to persuade him to come to Steemit.com because I really think he has a lot to offer the platform. So far he’s not interested, but I keep asking.
Philip Gardiner (go on, look him up)Amazon is an expert on LOADS of things from conspiracy theories to secret societies and the Illuminati and Gnosis in particular. Illusions is packed with years of his research and behind the scenes notes. (Picture at the top of the page).
I’m not sure if he’ll ever make it to Steemit.com but I sure hope he does, he’s one hell of an interesting guy but SO bloody modest.
I’ve been fortunate to work with Phil on some of his films – The Stone- No Soul Unturned was the first, Exorcist Chronicles, Dead Walkers – Rise of the 4th Reich and a few others.
I also worked with him on a television programme – Mindscape – but I can’t find any copies of that anywhere.
So, that’s a few of the people I’ve worked with (not all, but I don’t want to bore you).
