Today's my birthday
I'm telling you
because today is my birthday
Shameless attempt
to get birthday wishes
was going to rhyme
but won't
because poetry people
always tell me not to rhyme
In any event
I hate having a birthday on Easter
because everyone is celebrating
but not because of me
On the other hand
I guess that's better
than no one celebrating
because of me
I don't like birthdays
they always remind me
that I'm getting older
and running out of time
I guess that means I'm not that old yet
