So there is this anime called One Piece that I believe first aired in the late 90's. I've been watching it for about 10 years now and I look forward to a new episode every weekend. I'm not sure why I like this anime so much but maybe it's because it's the longest anime I've ever watched or maybe it's because it relates to a lot of what's happening in the real world right now in regards to world government, science and control, sort of. Anyways...
I first heard of Bitcoin in late 2012 during Christmas dinner and it was about $40 in that moment in time. My uncle in law vaguely explained what it was and how it worked. I didn't take the digital currency seriously until I saw it jump up to $100 several months later. After further research into Bitcoin I noticed that this crypto currency resembles Beri! (or Beli, whatever) The currency from One Piece.
Could it be that Satoshi Nakamoto the creator of Bitcoin was a One Piece fan? An Otaku maybe? Or Maybe he or she is or was involved in the production of this anime. What do you think? Coincidence?
