For this week's #waterfallwednesday I have another waterfall from the USA for you. Today I show you Sol Duc Falls, which is located on the Olympic Peninsula south of the Canadian border.

It's a beatiful waterfall, which creates a lot of spray. On the day I visited the sun was out, which, together with the spray, created some beautiful light beams. To best capture those I opted for a perspective following the flow of the water.

Normally, when I photography waterfalls, I position myself in front of the waterfall to capture the tumbling water from below. But there are occasions where a photo from the top of the falls can create a nice lead into the frame.

I think in this case it worked quite nicely. What do you think?

If you also want to participate in the Waterfall Wednesday do the following:

  • Create a post featuring a photo where a waterfall is the primary subject and share some information about it - you could also pin it to the Steemit World Map. And it doesn’t need to be a large waterfall, smaller cascades are welcome too
  • Only post on Wednesdays - this will require everyone’s honesty
  • Use the tag #waterfallwednesday
  • And to create some sense of community, I suggest after posting a photo, to browse through the other submissions of the day and to up-vote at least three posts you like. Also, I would only award photos posted on Wednesdays to encourage people to stick to the rules
