It is pertinent that we pay attention to the company of friends we keep. We are defined to some extent by the company we keep and our friends have a way of affecting and influencing our lives. The good ones will influence us positively while the bad and toxic ones would have a negative influence on each.
If you must go far in life, then you may do away with bad company. Bad friends will lead us to problems ranging from one sort to another. There are friends you keep and your life will refuse to go further why? Because they will drain you till nothing is left with you.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
From the above, it is wise that we choose our friends; do not let your friends choose you. Before you call someone your friend, ensure that your values align with each other. Taking an example from marriages, do not marry someone and then say that the person will change later. No! It does not work that way, instead of the person changing for good, you might end up being changed for bad.
If you keep a thief or a liar as a friend, just give yourself time, you will begin to lie as well. Keep friends that will help you grow spiritually, physically, financially and otherwise. Keep friends that add value to your life and your life will definitle experience progress.
