What is giving?
Giving means being generous to someone with whatever we have.
As Christians, our Christian race and life won't be complete until we learn or start giving first to God and then to others around us.
Giving to God is a key to all-round blessings and increase in life. Giving open doors for the children of God.
Giving has some principles if one wants to be actually blessed and prosperous in all facets and ramifications of life.
- We shouldn't be compelled to give.
- Anything we want to give should come from our hearts.
- We shouldn't give out of pity; there shouldn't be any occasion before we give.
N/B: God loves a cheerful giver.
Here are some different ways to give to God:
- Thanksgiving offering
- Giving your first fruit
- Charity offering
- Paying tithe
- Prophet offering
It shouldn't be that until when we have enough money, goods, gifts and other items before we can give out to people.
Giving should be our habit coz the Bible instructs us to do so.
Tips on how to give:
- Give cheerfully
- Give humbly
- Give generously
- Give faithfully
- Give willingly
