This nature pictures was taken on a recent trip to Kielva in Skibotn, Norway.

Rocks don't absorb water, they go down the slope of the mountain.

Most rivers begin life as a tiny stream running down a mountain slope. They are fed by rainwater and water from melting snow.

Small streams meet and join together, growing larger and larger until the flow can be called a river.
