Everyone is looking for different things here. You've apparently are interested in matching the original style. I, on the other hand, look at the original template only as a springboard with the clues. It's the task of a writer to create a plot that extends one of the clues and offers a seamless transition of the prompt from its endpoint and makes sure that the story after that can stand on its own, has a theme and an idea behind it.
The prompt had two obvious continuations: the customer either a robot or a drug addict. There was also the third weaker clue about the cook.
I liked that @sarez didn't take one of the obvious paths here, but went forcefully his own direction. His style is dense and therefore is little hard to read. I had to read it 2 times to completely understand it. But having read and understood it, it completely swayed my interest and now the continuation style utterly eradicated the amorphous prompts. )
