These days people don't even hide the fact that they're fraudsters, especially those Yahoo boys and girls. When you ask them how they get their money, their response is always "I'm into Forex" I've heard that way too many times hahaha.
Just work for what you want, and also appreciate the little you have.
I have two experiences with fraudsters, both are so hilarious, that I can't help but laugh whenever I think about them. But I will be sharing just one today, so let's go..
I graduated high school when I was 16, so the other years were dedicated to work. I didn't keep in touch with many of my friends, so it was like I was dreaming when I saw one of my very good friends/classmates at an eatery.
I went out with my sister and we decided to stop at an eatery to get dinner. When I entered the place, I saw someone who looked like my friend, but I wasn't sure because the person I knew back then was darker and way shorter than me, while this person I was seeing was way taller than me, but looked a lot like my friend. I wasn't So sure, so I just brushed it off saying he wasn't the one.
While I was about to leave the eatery, I heard my name "Onumeya" and I was confused to see that he was the person I thought he was. I was so happy to see my friend not knowing he had turned into a fraudster. ( He was a legit Jesus baby back then, he could pass as Angel Gabriel's right-hand man lol)
Could you believe that Just a week after meeting him, I was scammed.
He posted on his status, Give me 5k and get 10k in 3 days, now that I think about it, it's so funny how I fell for that.
( I've never fallen for anything like that in my life, because I always thought it was too good to be true).
He came to my DM telling me it was legit and I should trust him that he's my friend and he would never lie to me. I was convinced knowing the type of person he was. I bet I acted on my emotions.
I'm the most emotional person to ever grace the earth. he knew that with just a little push, I would agree to do it, which he did. (Don't worry I'm now tougher )
3days later I texted him for the money, but he didn't reply to me back, I called him but he didn't pick up. The annoying part was that he was online the whole time and was still posting God knows what on his status.
I was heartbroken because that was the last money I had with me for transport and feeding for the remaining part of the month.
Could you believe he finally replied to me and was saying all sorts of rubbish and why would I fall for a trick like that and that my money was gone, saying he had already used it to buy food?
I was pissed, to say the least. I felt so bad because he was somebody I trusted, and also someone I helped a lot while we were in school. Most times I would get lunch for him or even sacrifice my lunch money just because of him and some few other persons, seeing him repaying kindness for such a small amount of money was truly hurtful.
I sent him a very long voice note, pouring out my heart to him and how I didn't believe my friend would do something like that to me.
He later asked for my account number after 3 weeks and sent me the money back with an extra 1k.
Oh boy I learned a lot from these experiences, firstly
Don't trust anyone, no matter who they are. Even your family or even your so-called good friend
People change
Your best friend may turn out to be your enemyDon't ever make decisions based on your emotions
Always be smart because if you're not, you'll end up being played.
Don't act on your emotions, it doesn't always work out well later.
The streets are hard guys, and people are ready to do anything to take the little you have.
