The best part of my HIVE Blog is that is serves as a type of online journal.
I also liked realizing that it is a hobby more than anything.
I truly used to think that HIVE was eventually going to be the answer to my financial prayers. I was here for HIVE ballooning into 8USD per HIVE and it seemed like consistent 2USD HIVE was going to eventually be the norm. That, coupled with a 20% interest rate on HBD and I really thought that these many years into the experiment, I'd be able to pull out enough income to pay for my daily latte or car payment.
Of course, that is the me that really thought she'd be spending her money on latte's and car payments. Now you see me drinking delicious coffee at home (drip serve and very delicious), and taking care of my car so that 10 years into ownership makes me love it more and more instead of less and less.
The thing is though, my finances keep growing and growing to what I want them to be, even though HIVE has not been the answer.
It seems like magic is the answer, but I know its not. It's God. God has me right where he wants me, and blogging about blogging to have latte's to share pictures about on some inleo microblogging thread is not what he wants me doing. He wants me going to church, hanging out with my kids, and living right where I live.
So its a hobby blog, but even hobby blogs get a little disapointing to write when you see your auto votes keep amounting to less and less. My first day back blogging I was like. WOW! Then the rewards kept dwindling as my SBI shares caught up with my new blogging schedule.
Which is why I gave blogging a little five day rest
Instead of logging on here to write and journal. I was getting a little writers blog and then I started remembering some old HIVE projects, and I found them. Some of them had HBD, some had tokens, and others had liquid HIVE. Since the worth of our coin is only 5 cents each, the actual USD value was not great enough to pull out and spend (especially in a three paycheck month) but it was enough to get me closer to my 20,000 HIVE goal.
I have powered up over 250 HIVE since I set my goal
I have also found some accounts with HP (I never power down) that I'm going to place to follow on auto votes behind me to make my curations even stronger.
I found a really cool VIP token HODling that I transferred to this main account which should translate to curation rewards.
There's some HBD coming in three days which will probably make the biggest difference.
And I still have some keys to play with so that I can get lots of second layer token rewards.
It was a fun little treasure hunt, and I'll continue doing it. I think the 20,000 HIVE Power goal will be here sooner than later.
