Hi Hivers of sketchbook community
It's good to be back here.
I treated this sketch as a careful study of form, weight, and texture rather than just a drawing of a cup. The rough hatching gives the surface a slightly worn character, while the darker areas underneath and around the handle help establish its position on the ground.
I also left some of the lines loose instead of cleaning everything up, because that rawness give the piece a more honest sketchbook feel.
