Warm greetings to Sketchbook Hivers

I wanted to keep this portrait simple but expressive, using pen strokes and cross-hatching to bring out the features, hair, and shadows. The loose lines in the hair give it a natural feel, while the darker areas add depth and character to the face. I enjoyed letting the sketch remain slightly raw instead of making every line perfect.
