I remember a situation in a very remote village in Polish Beskid Niski mts. I was hiking with a friend from Ukraine and the host of our hut happened to be a native Slovakian. We first spoke Polish, but at one moment the two switched to their native languages and I understood both Ukrainian and Slovakian. Well, the conversation was about food for the dinner and plans for the next morning, so easy enough.
