The company I work for is true to its values. One of them is the wellbeing of employees. All of us (+1000) had a paid day off today (not counted in our normal vacation days pool) with the objective to do something that makes us happy. It’s called „A Day for You”.
It was a non-brainer for me. I chose hiking in my beloved Beskidy Mts. My trail had to meet the following criteria (set by me, to reflect who I am):
- trailhead and trail end at train stations
- long enough to fill the day (but short enough to account for still short daylight)
- mountain cabin as nice to have
- a mix of views and forests
Being a guide, I found a perfect route easily. And I have enjoyed every kilometre of it.
Perfect day for me!
