German trains are not (any more) synonymous with punctuality. My train from Frankfurt airport acquired 20 minutes delay already before leaving Frankfurt area. The good thing is that the DB Navigator app knew I would lose my connection in Nürnberg and proactively suggested alternative via Würzburg and Bamberg. Ticket valid even though I changed route and transferred from ICE to Regio.
