I had planned my activities carefully. I had account for serving at church and attending my wife’s sister”s 55 birthday - both of which are sedentary events.
Still I thought I would be able to challenge my esteemed opponent. I found an excuse to sneak out from the birthday party after 2,5hrs and was bound for a walk. But then a friend called and asked for a meeting. We did meet and then went to the movies to see Oskar-winning “Zone of interest”. Btw, highly recommended- I was left speechless. An important film and very well done.
This made me think that my walking plan would fall apart. But I managed to save the day - first by leaving my car at my sister-in-law which meant a 5km walk to meet my friend. Then, after the movie, I figured out I would rather walk home 8km than return to pick my car.
In the end I am satisfied with my step count and it feels #aliveandthriving to be able to fulfil society, family and friends obligation.
