No one on our winter trail. My Actifit Report Card: December 16 2023
We hiked 20km in Beskidy Mts today. Imagine that we didn’t meet a single person on the trail! We did see however plenty of animal traces. The footprints above belong to lynx.
We think that if we don’t meet other humans, the winter forest is empty. The fact is that’s full of life - but life that escapes our attention. We saw footprints of deer, roe, lynx, wildcat, hare, wild boar and fox. All almost freshly imprinted on the snow. We also saw evidence of beaver activity. Wonderful experience.
Nice route, quite easy; perfect winter weather- snow, but not too much; cold - but just subzero and no wind. Add excellent company and I had a very good Saturday
