From snow to sand. My Actifit Report Card: December 3 2023

Need to work in Saudi Arabia this week. Working week starts on Sunday so Saturday was spent travelling. All my steps are in the “gate walking” category

The photo above is from my airport of origin - KRK. Piles of snow. Unlike LHR (@cezary-io might comment…) over here airports are prepared for snow. An armada of snow ploughs was busy on the runway. 3-5 landings / departures and the ploughs had to run the runway again. Delays inevitable but airport operations didn’t halt

We flew towards Turkey where I could see a beautiful sunset. Then over Iran - I think I pictured burning gas on oil fields south of Shiraz:

Landed in Dubai to catch my connecting flight to Riyadh. Most of the layover spent in three shuttle buses - like having a tour of the airport.

Landed in Riyadh after midnight. Now breakfast and off to work.
