Hey, I recently saw this new platform called ETHCONNECT. I instantly thought of BITCONNECT and wanted to dig in more.
You may already know that:
Bitconnect is BITCOIN(BIT) + CONNECT=BITCONNECT(if you look at the charts it's tightly connected to bitcoin).
Ethconnect is ETHEREUM(ETH) + CONNECT=ETHCONNECT(if you look at the charts it's tightly connected to ethereum).
So I checked it and both websites looked incredibly similar, just look:

Then I checked what these platforms offer:
eth2.PNGbit1.PNG
As you can see it is litteraly the same thing, the only difference is that in presentation they changed the placed of sections "TRADE" and "STAKE", maybe they wanted to give some differential look to it.

Another similarity that I found:
In bitconnect, the more you invest, the more +%daily you get and you get your capital faster.
Guess what, ethconnect has the same thing.
BITCONNECT model:

ETHCONNECT model:

It is pretty much the same, but they showed that they are better than bitconnect, because they give your money back faster.
It is obvious that ethconnect creators brutally copied almost everything from bitconnect , but changed the main cryptocurrency(From bitcoin to ethereum).
If you ask why they copied bitconnect, I would say we need to look at bitconnect price chart.
On 2017 MARCH 9 , price of ONE bitconnect coin was ~1 dollar, now it is ~307 dollars
For now, the price of ONE ethconnect coin is 5 dollars, but it is still not on exchanges(the ICO will open in 3 days), so people just don't know what to expect from this coin either.
