Hive Open Mic 186 - "Listen By Beyonce" (Dreamgirls) Cover

Hello Hive Open Mic community and my fellow music singers!
It's another week with a beautiful theme and I'm happy to be here once again to share my song choice for the selected theme by our spotlight artist @mairene1

I'm choosing to share the cover of the song titled "Listen" by "Beyonce", for the theme of the week "Cinema"

Figuring out a song choice for this theme wasn't so easy as I had the mind of singing a song from one of my favourite movies but it turns out I have way too many options in mind and somehow I concluded to share a "not so easy" song from a favourite movie of mine titled "Dreamgirls".

The movie "Dreamgirls" is about three sisters whose dream is to be on the spotlight as great singers and with the help of a wealthy man, they began to see light but it turns out the man is playing the hearts of the girls. Everything plays out for them in the end but one thing I love so much about the movie is the "Casts and music" in it. Characters like Beyonce & Jennifer Hudson in the movie meant so much for me.

Dreamgirls was released in the year 2006, Jennifer Hudson is my favourite character in the movie.

This song "Listen" is one of the songs in the movie sang by Beyonce to express her freedom from the man who played with her after helping her to stardom. The technicality of the song almost became a difficult one for me but I guess listening and singing it a lot of times paid off for me.
