It was first semester in our third year at school, my friends and I had it planned that we would go find a hospital where we would apply for our industrial training before others would. It's a training the school made students do to have better experience of what they are studying in school.
As Microbiology students, the three of us made plans and set out one fine morning to find hospitals that would take us in for industrial training.
What we didn't know was that we were about to go through all forms of emotions in finding the right place that we would like to stay.

We got to the first hospital not so far from we lived, the one we were hoping would take us so we don't have to spend much for transportation. We had a list of five hospitals to visit, we had never been to any of them before so we kinda had better expectations than what we met at each of them.
Getting to the hospital, we were asked to seat at the reception to wait for the Lab scientist since he's the one in charge of taking students in for training. My dear friends, we sat at that hospital from 8am till 10am before they told us he won't be coming in that day 🤦♀️
What was funny there is that "We had already concluded in our mind that we love the place, the nurses were talkatives (good for us to be busy when bored in the lab), it was close to our houses and we heard that they don't take much money for it
You needed to see how excited we were talking about how we would spend our industrial training at that hospital only for them to burst our bubbles that the man won't be coming in that day. We decided to go back after checking the others out.
I wish we didn't had to but we did!!!
We got to the second hospital, a bit far from home but the hospital was so fine!!! We actually couldn't stop screaming and appreciating the place as we walked inside. At the reception, everyone seem like they didn't see us get inside, they just continued what they were doing (including nurses at the reception).
My friend was like "I hope we're still alive and not ghosts, why didn't anyone turn to look at us enter the hospital?"
We burst into laughter and walked towards one nurse to inquire on what we went there for. Honestly, I can't remember how she replied us but that sent us out of the hospital with us bad mouthing the hospital that was once beautiful in our eyes.

Then we got to the third hospital on our list, very far away but highly recommended for us to check out by those who have done before. At Faith Dome Medical Centre, we couldn't help but notice how old it looks. We even began to hate the hospital when we saw that it had a mortuary section by the side.
My friend was like "Let's just turn back abeg"
We decided to just check it out inside and pray that they are not available to take students in so we can use that as a more better reason not to learn there. To cut the long story short, the woman allowed us to bargain a lesser fee to pay so we can start training when it is time.
She gave us time table and some guide book... Like we had no escape route immediately we met the lab scientist, we concluded we've gotten a place to do our training even though we were using our eyes to say we don't like the place.
You needed to see how weak we looked walking out of the hospital, we turned back to look at the hospital surrounding again to find one thing to like about it and there it was, the green trees!!!
Who likes a Hospital because of the trees? My friends and I
Why did we choose to like the trees? For pictures in case of incase city.
But in the end, we were so glad we choose to train there. We had memorable times at that hospital with our jovial lab scientists.
