Hello there lovely. I'm surprised to see you here, well not surprised as such, more surprised to see that you are seeing this now. I was hoping I would get to meet you. I've seen you around here. No, not in the creepy stalker way. I mean...unless your into that sort of thing. I'm not here to judge.
So my name's Shayne. I'm just your reasonably, unreasonably normalish kind of guy. I grew up with my mom and dad. I have three other brothers. I was born somewhere in the middle. At a young age I decided cats were my favorite animal. As I grew older I decided it was a good idea to hold true to this decision. For my 9th birthday I asked for a cat and my parents obliged. His name was Stoney and he was a short haired American, kind of like me now. He was in my life for a long time. He's gone now, somewhere over the rainbow where the lion lays down with the lamb. Probably upsetting the lion and chasing the lamb. He was like that you know, always causing mischief. I took after him a lot growing up. I miss him. I always wonder if he misses me up there... This next picture is the only digital one of him I have. He's an old man kitty napping with me. This is how I choose to remember him.
I have two more cats now. My girl and I call them our 'fur babies'. They drive us crazy most of the time. The other part of the time they're snuggling with us in our sleeping place. I named our girl fur baby Pebbles, after my first cat Stoney. See what I did there?
Then this ornery black boy kitty followed my girl home. He stayed on our porch for about three days using all of his snuggle power to weasel his way into her heart. Then, about $500 worth of Vet bills later he found a home with us and Pebbles. About a month after that he weaseled his way into my heart too. We deiced to not break the trend and named our boy kitty Rockie MeowBoa. I bet you've noticed a trend in names here..
So thanks for staying and spending time with us. My family and I have enjoyed this get together and hope you will follow us around Steemit for a bit. We will be starting a new blog soon with just us and our fur babies and hope you won't mind visiting every now and then.
