I bought an ice cream maker thanks to Steemit, also a recipe!
Hey guys! So after my last 3 posts and a comment upvote from @klye, I had a bit of Steem dollars sitting here and got greedy.
Two weeks ago, I took my son to his science class and we made ice cream in a bag. It actually tasted really good and made me crave home made ice cream. When I had come to notice the Steem dollars sitting here I decided it was time to get one. I actually feel awesome about this whole thing. I'm proud of myself for taking the time to write a few posts and actually earn something for my time.
So here's just a little simple recipe that I made tonight to share with you. I'll also throw in the cold coffee ice cream recipe I made up as well if you're a coffee lover. (Though I forgot to take pics of that one.)
Easy vanilla ice cream
Ingredients:
2 Cups Half & Half (I used half heavy cream and half milk since I had no actual " half and half")
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Cup Sugar
Mix these ingredients well in a separate bowl. Once ready, turn on the ice cream maker so it's spinning, then pour your ingredients in slowly.
You can leave this to spin for 20-40 minutes. I left mine in for 25 minutes and it was a soft serve consistency. Put into an airtight container and store in the freezer!
Coffee flavored ice cream:
Ingredients:
2 cups cold coffee (We make this by brewing a pot of coffee, adding milk and sugar. Shake and chill.)
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar
Follow the same instructions as for the vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy! ♥
