It's no secret that I'm on a mission to make snapie.io a complete frontend to Hive these days. No, that wasn't the initial mission, but things change. What can I say?
I do want to make something absolutely clear though. I'm not discontinuing the mobile app at all. As a matter of fact, I think the mobile app needs to remain true to its original mission. Progress has been slower, sure, but it hasn't stopped.
There really isn't an easy way to say this. It's simply harder to get things approved by the app stores, and because of that, keeping the mobile app simpler is also part of reducing that friction. Is it a compromise? I guess. But it's one made for a good reason.
At any rate, today I began adding governance features to snapie.io.
It goes without saying that being a Hive citizen also means participating in witness voting, proposal voting, and generally making your voice heard. So it only feels natural that, eventually, Snapie would incorporate those features too.
I'm sure there will be a few bugs here and there. That's to be expected. One thing I won't be doing, though, is filtering proposals. If they're on the blockchain, they'll show up. I mention this because someone is bound to wonder about the weirdly named proposals you'll find near the bottom of the list.
Anyway, time for me to catch some Zs.
