I've been thinking about something kind of wild. Or should I say, wild for me. I've been thinking about dipping my toes into this whole AI agent thing.
But before you think I'm about to start spamming comments on Hive, let me tell you where my head is at.
What if...
I think most people who still follow my ramblings know I've been contributing to for a while. In the very beginning, it was very part-time, so to speak, and these days... well... it takes big chunks out of my day.
Now, some of the tasks I do for can be automated. Or should I say, I think I can automate them. I've been working on doing exactly that for a while now, but... what if...
Not to say we have lots of issues these days, because in contrast, we really don't.
I remember jumping into the server and seeing a wall of people complaining that videos were not uploading, not playing, not showing up, and so on. Thankfully, and I mean that sincerely, those days are long gone.
But that doesn't mean Tibs and I aren't needed every now and then.
Sometimes it's to look up some information. Sometimes a hiccup happens and something needs attention.
Research a specific CID, reset a service, maybe re-dispatch a video to be re-encoded. Or, in more critical cases, manually repair a video. Sometimes people upload some very interesting formats, and I end up discovering yet another edge case that needs attention.
The point is, the system seems solid, but nothing is truly bulletproof.
Now imagine I get a Hermes instance up and running, or an equivalent agent. As a matter of fact, a prominent Hivean is about to release a product designed specifically for this sort of thing—a product that lets you deploy agents super easily.
I grab that idea and run with it.
I deploy a little agent called or something.
Here to help!
He would live in Discord primarily, but he could also live inside Snapie Chat, which, by the way, is deployed on right now. Did you check it out?
I digress.
The point is, we—or rather, I—could have a little information hub trained to handle things for me while I work on other stuff.
What other stuff, I hear you asking?
Well... shipping moar cowd, of course.
But also sleeping soundly.
I wouldn't have to worry about the hours I'm asleep because, even in the middle of the night, there would be "someone" around to lend a hand.
I think it's a reasonable plan, don't you?
I'm going to consult Morpheus on this one.
It's not like I need to spend money on API tokens, but...
It would be cool.
Cool and helpful.
Which is cool squared, according to maths.
