Hello everyone!
This is my entry to the Show Us Your California contest organized by 
One of our favorite places to go here in San Diego is the Zoo. The Zoo is located at the Balboa Park near downtown San Diego in an area of over 100 acres. It is renowned for having animals from all over the world, with over 12,000 animals of over 650 species including koalas, polar bears and gorillas. It is one of the only places in the world that was able to breed giant pandas, but the pandas were repatriated to China back in 2019. We were lucky to see them before that, but they were not there today.
Here are some pictures I took there today. Hope you enjoy it.

Um dos nossos lugares favoritos de ir aqui em San Diego é o Zoo. O Zoo esta localizado no Balboa Park que fica próximo ao centro de San Diego numa area de mais de 100 acres. Ele é reconhecido por ter animais de todo o mundo, com mais de 12.000 animais de mais de 650 espécies, incluindo koalas, ursos polares e gorilas. É um dos únicos lugares do mundo que conseguiu reproduzir pandas gigantes. Mas os pandas foram repatriados de volta para a China em 2019. Nós tivemos a sorte de ve-los antes disso, mas eles ja não estavam mais lá hoje.
