Rule number one - never try to paint over an old stained piece of wood furniture without priming with a good wood/stain blocking primer first!
We wasted a couple days learning the hard way.
Today, after priming twice and topcoating with an all surface enamel high gloss, it is done.
Was a long journey...but in the end was worth the efforts. Even with the mistakes we came out ahead by doing the work ourselves.
