Millstone Creek Falls is a 30' waterfall located on the western side of Buffalo Mountain in East Tennessee.
Yesterday afternoon, I took my youngest daughter to Millstone Creek Falls for a quick hike. It wasn't that cold out but the air near the falls was chilly. The hike up to the waterfall is super short and only takes a whopping 5 minutes to walk. I call this waterfall my lunch break hike. It's only 15 minutes from my work.
I finished at the lab early and swung by the house to grab the kid a well as a friend of mine that just came down off the Appalachian Trail. He has hiked more than 200 miles already this year. He started the trail in Georgia and will continue until he gets to Maine. Monday, he was hiking through waist high snow drifts coming down the Unaka Mountain. He took a break for a couple days to recoup. I took him back to the trail this morning and he's headed to the top of Roan Mountain tomorrow. He stands 6ft tall for scale in the photo.
We made a huge fire in the backyard pit when we got home. We had so much cardboard from the last couple months. Felt good to declutter.
