Hi guys, im Mike, also known as melon or Mike bogan (don't ask, i'm not even Australian!).
After a couple of years Vlogging my travels, a friend of mine suggested i write a blog, so here i am. I have called this Blog the idiots guide to moving abroad, not because you guys are idiots, but because i am! So if even i can manage to do it then so can you damn it. Firstly, i think it makes the most sense to give you guys a little context, so lets start this from the beginning. I was born on the south coast of England in a town called Worthing (don't go there, Why do you think i moved?!). Nobody i knew has ever been travelling but from a young age i knew that this is what i wanted to do. I worked overtime for months, in a minimum wage job in a warehouse and managed to save up enough money to go and travel south east Asia back in the beginning 2018 and hadn't felt as happy as when i was here. So, by November 2019 i had saved up again and bought a one way ticket to Bangkok with one goal in mind, to try and work and travel for at least one year. Easy right?? Well... sort of. My first stop on this fiasco of an endevour is Siem Reap, Cambodia.

A place i fell in love with the last time i was here in Asia and where i have a lot of friends living, so the next few blogs i write will be about my experiences of living in a culture and country that is vastly different from my own. From then on i have no idea where i will end up, nor how the hell i'll get there but one things for sure, it'll be one awesome adventure! Make sure you follow my blog as the next one will be how not to find a job in a different country, like i did.....
