Saludos a los amigos de #blackandwhite
Unos de los municipios mas importantes de la Habana es el Cerro, fue uno de los primeros en desarrollarse gracias a que en sus terrenos no formaron parte de la urbanización de la ciudad donde florecieron lujosos palacios, mansiones rodeados de hermosos jardines a lo largo de la Calzada del Cerro.
Entre las construcciones que le dieron reconocimiento a ese territorio se encuentran la sede del acueducto y la entrada agua de la ciudad los cuales siguen funcionales aun en nuestros días de ahí la frase el cerro tiene la llave, también se encuentra en el cerro el canal de entrada de La Zanja Real, primer acueducto habanero que llevaba el agua por gravedad a la ciudad desde 1592 hasta el siglo XIX.
En la actualidad este municipio tiene varios lugares de interés social entre los que se encuentran hospitales como La Covadonga, el Pediátrico Docente del Cerro conocido como Las Catolicas, el hogar de ancianos Santovenia, el hospital Clínico Quirurgico, La Ciudad Deportiva, el Estadio Latinoamericano entre otros espacios.

One of the most important municipalities of Havana is Cerro, it was one of the first to develop thanks to the fact that its land was not part of the urbanization of the city where luxurious palaces and mansions flourished, surrounded by beautiful gardens along the Calzada del Cerro.
Among the constructions that gave recognition to this territory are the headquarters of the aqueduct and the water entrance to the city, which are still functional even today, hence the phrase “the hill has the key”. Also located on the hill is the entrance channel of La Zanja Real, the first Havana aqueduct that carried water by gravity to the city from 1592 until the nineteenth century.
At present this municipality has several places of social interest among which are hospitals such as La Covadonga, the Pediatric Teaching Hospital of El Cerro known as Las Catolicas, the Santovenia home for the elderly, the Clinical Surgical Hospital, the Sports City, the Latin American Stadium, among other places.
