My entry is a photo of the Sundial designed by Thomas Jefferson. third President of the USA.
My photo was taken while touring
Monticello, Jefferson's home in Virginia.
Jefferson's design was made at Monticello between 1809 and 1816, and there is no evidence of other spherical sun dials in use in North America before this one, although ithe design may be based on some he had seen in Europe..
