Ice Storm
We have had a few pretty dramatic ice storms here in recent years. This huge old willow tree looked so beautiful covered in ice, but it was severely damaged when the wind picked up. It lost many big branches and hasn't been the same since.
Ignition
The key is in the ignition on the dash of this old restored Chevy truck. We had a great time with this old beauty. When Jim decided to sell it, someone in Australia bought it and we had to get it ready for a long boat ride!
Iguana
I was in Bonaire on a scuba adventure with my best friend and we were having a picnic when suddenly the tree we were sitting under started moving and shaking quite violently and this big guy appeared. It didn't take long for us to understand that he regularly crashed picnics at that table and he expected a handout! I shared my sandwich with him.
Ice cream
It's never too cold for an ice cream cone!
iris
My favorite grandmother's name was Iris Valerian. A very flowery name, and I always take a moment to smell the iris blooms and think of her.
Indigo Bunting
Indigo Buntings are one of my favorite #featheredfriends. I was hopeful this year that one would nest nearby, but I have not seen any since the ones that stopped in during spring migration and had a snack at the thistle seed feeder.
