I am not much of a shopper and tend to avoid retail stores, but bookstores are another matter! I could spend the whole day there.
I no longer buy many books since audible books have become so much easier for me, but browsing through the titles gives me ideas of what to listen to next.
Big-box bookstore Barnes & Noble opened its largest Chicago location in the Loop this summer.
The 30,000-square-foot bookstore at 150 N. State St. is impressive.
The fiction and classics sections are my favorites. My bookshelfs are overloaded and even though I give away many there are some I can't bring myself to part with.
The Young Readers section has a special selection of Halloween books. One of my favorite Halloween books to read aloud to little kids is 'Mouses First Halloween'. Even after they have grown up this is one of the books they look for on my bookshelf.
Of course there is a large section of Harry Potter books and paraphenalia
