I had a fantastic birthday weekend with my kids and grandkids here!
My granddaughter turns 15 during the same week that I turned really old, and we both got so many great gifts and we each got our own delicious cheesecake from a French bakery in Chicago.
My granddaughter's birthday wishes came true when her dad took her shopping to pick out an electric guitar and amplifier. It is a lovely blue color and is one of the prettiest guitars I have ever seen.
The kids went to the new rock shop that just opened downtown and picked out some new rocks to add to my collection. The big one is Jasper, there is a lovely chunk of fluorite and the smaller black one that looks rather like a feather is kyanite
I also received a digital picture frame. I can set it to show works of art, or to go through a slideshow of all of my photos. The frequency that it changes images can be set and right now I have it set to show a slide show of my favorite photos from my archives. It's fun to see my own photos displayed on the wall.
My daughter in law brought me some beautiful yellow roses, because she knows that is my favorite color.
And now I'm thinking that I should have a piece of cheesecake to celebrate.... something! Maybe the end of a marvelous weekend?
