These are the last of the photos that were taken during the first shopping trip to the new Barnes and Noble bookstore. The store has more than just books.
Specialty flat gift wrap sheets like these illustrated prints are individual high-quality sheets and can retail around $5.00 to $12.00 per sheet. I would have a hard time wrapping a gift in paper that costs that much just to have the recipient rip the present open!
These are cotton canvas tote bags that sell for around $20. I condered buying the Feathered Friends bag, but already have plenty of totes so decided not to spend the money
"Bird Watching" tote bag displaying illustrated birds with their common names (such as the Virginian Cardinal, Hairy Woodpecker, and Barn Swallow)
"Tea Time" tote bag showcasing vintage porcelain teapots, cups, saucers, and tiered cake stands.
The Umbrellas by.Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Les Parapluies) is prominently featured on the large tote bag and the tall tin canisters.
There were plenty of Chicago shoppers checking out the store and browsing through the books.
All photos are from my family albums
