Housing and Industrial Revolution
It was around the boom of the industrial revolution where personal homes became more common given that factories started popping up and agriculture was losing the employment to industry. Previously people lived and worked on farms or had your own if you could afford it.
But the Rise of Industry saw workers needing something a little more permanent to reside in and given factory workers were now being paid they were able to construct small cottages. Many without the luxuries we see today such as toilets, heating, cooling. These were basic 4 walls and a roof structures with one or two bedrooms a lounge and a kitchen which was often a woodfire stove.
Digital Revolution Homes
We're now in the third industrial revolution better known as the digital revolution and if you don't know what that is then your either not reading this article or you haven't realised that since the 20th century work has been progressively changing to Technology based with the newest leap thus far being Blockchain Technology with even finances turning digital with the launch of Bitcoin.
This revolution has completely altered the way homes look and what they include, now no longer just four walls and a roof they must include a lot more not just to the current standards of sewage, running water, electricity and gas which were included in the 1900s. We are now faced with the ever growing demand of tech inclusion into our homes.
In fact many people in today's world can not undertake basic living requirements without having some form of smart meter or device included in their homes. This on top of new building regulations and requirements, the basic home has gone from a place you just stayed in so you could be close to work. To more of a permanent place of residence that also now doubles as an investment or a retirements savings.
